Ulta Beauty's Doors to Close for Thanksgiving Day

The most recent trend in the retail realm is for stores to close on Thanksgiving Day allowing employees to spend quality time with their families and staying safe in the process. Ulta has a history of opening up after the turkey and sweet potatoes have been put away on Thanksgiving Day.

In fact, doorbusters began last year at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day going until the wee hours of the morning. So closing this year no doubt affects their bottom line -- but only temporarily as we predict a longer Black Friday shopping extravaganza.

Ulta announced on Aug. 19 that it would join the long list of retailers closing their doors for the Thanksgiving Day holiday. "It’s our hope that everyone takes time this Thanksgiving to see the beauty in togetherness with loved ones,” says Ulta Beauty CEO Mary Dillon.

Although Ulta (or most other retailers) has yet to announce their Black Friday shopping hours or inevitable deals, customers will still be able shop online to their heart's content in between munching on turkey legs and stuffing. Ulta also announced that customers can shop at ulta.com and through the Ulta app on Thanksgiving Day where we anticipate early online sales. Plus, Ulta also offers curbside pickup to keep all beauty addicts safe this holiday season and beyond.
